Thought I would start off a thread for the BBL this year.

I will start by posting the most current list for each team.

There are a few big names in here - Kumar Sangakkara joins Darren Sammy at the Hurricanes, Chris Gayle is back, this time joining Dwayne Bravo at the Renegades, Jaques Kallis is back again with the Thunder, KP is back with the Stars, Brendan McCallum with the Heat, Keiron Pollard is at the Strikers again.

Michael Clarke had signed with the Stars, however unfortunately has pulled out of the tournament after his retirement from all forms of cricket.

Lets hope its another great season.

A few additions & the unfortunate withdrawal of Pat Cummins who is out for the whole summer again.

If anyone hears of any new signings let me know & I will update the full list.

Have to say I cant wait for the BBL this year.......loved it last year and this year hopefully will just be as good!

Should be another great BBL.

What about the end to the final last year! Heres hoping this year can be even better....

hey mate the hurricanes have signed clive rose micheal hill and payne should be spelt like paine

this is according to the big bash league website

Probably a bit bias but the top 4 for renegades in white, finch, gayle and bravo and the likes of wade and ferguson in the batting and the bowling looks pretty strong
GO RENEGADES!!!

They still have 6 players to announce....

Will want to be some decent signings in the remaining 6 because what they have so far really doesn't inspire a great deal of confidence compared to all other franchises!!!
Pollard will want to put in a "full" season and really fire, he was very mediocre last season!!!

Disappointing news this morning with Keiron Pollard out with an injury for the whole BBL05. :(

Was expecting that after reading the other day that he had hurt his knee.
But have to admit, it was a damn brave effort for him to go out and bat after being injured earlier in the field!!!

Will be interesting to see who the Strikers get to replace him now

McCullum wont be playing for the Heat

McCullum signed a three-year contract with the BBL|02 champions, but international commitments will prevent him from fulfilling his duties this summer. Replaced by Lendl Simmons

Unfortunately couldn't watch the game myself thanks to the missus detesting cricket of any form and not being able to find anywhere online I could watch it.
Had to settle for radio commentary and live scores on the (slow) CA website.
What really got me was how the bookies had the Sixers favourites simply due to historical data of Thunder never beating them - that's all I can put it down to because if you look at the talent of both teams Thunder are miles ahead and should have been favourites!!!
