With any kind of Shoes, comfort is the first thing you need to look for... If you a planning to buy online, it would be wise to go to your local rebel sports or foot locker and try out something. Then you will have an idea that the shoes you wanna buy online is comfortable.
My feet goes wider to my toes so I look for the ones that says "w" for wide sizes. Converse seems to be the go with me specially the Wades...

so that's a lot of trainings, not just like walking or jogging around, flat out playing at least 3-5 times a week on average.
AND1's were my first two shoes man, my last pair i was wearing not 6 months ago.
they are really reliable and the best option if you want a good pair that's not too flashy. they are well rounded shoes which you can play outdoor or indoor and they're pretty reasonable in price too.
generally they're pretty standard in terms of weight, some nike's and other brands like reebok make some fat as chunky shoes which cost $200+.
but yeah make sure you try them out mate, there is good selection, mostly at DPlayground (Parramatta) but Foot Locker is your best bet if you don't want to go too far, they always specialise in american sports namely basketball.
