AFL cards: advice wanted.

Getting sick of NBA cards and have just sold most of my collection. Now thinking about collecting AFL cards, which I haven't done since the early-mid 90's.

I noticed on ebay that there seems to be 2 or 3 (maybe more?) different types/boxes, so I was wondering which ones are worth it? I would probably start with a box, so what would be a good one to get and is ebay the best place to look at buying one?

The Supreme series each year is a little more expensive but has 1 Draft Pick signiture per box + premiership predictors (~$160/box)

The First series has some nice inserts but no signitures and they are about $95/box

First series are a waste of time. Get a box of the supreme series. If your lucky enough you could pull a good rookie signiture and a geelong predictor card like myself he he.

Supreme for sure, There are also some Great AFL Box on bay at moment, good thing about AFL is Select redemption card has no expired date (Only Few no longer redeemable)

There is someone selling 2004 CONQUEST, 3 box for $310.00 which is not bad price at all(Not my Auction)

PS#Don't buy 2007 Champions, No Signature at all, unless you set builder, leave it

hey i collect champions this year.. I am still going, nearly got full set of all the insert cards... i didnt think it is half bad, champions is more for the hobby collector.. and supreme is for hard nut collectors.. If you are going to buy a box definetly supreme..ive bought 6 so far... lot a cash... but worth it..

herald sun also puts out a series as well, though this doesnt get anywhere near as much publicity

i bought a box of champion this year, and in hindsight it is a waste

you get 1 rookie, 1 gem, around 6 sig, 4 sketches.

you could go on ebay and buy the set plus the best of each of the inserts for less than the cost of a box

yer there is way too much to collect in the set.. but im nearly there , spent way too much money..yer i did end having to buy of ebay... worked out cheaper and easier to jump start collecting the fullset..
