93-94 Topps Finest Condition Question

I have a few collectors here in Singapore that have stored their 93-94 Finest base cards which were purchased around the original release in albums, away from sunlight, and the cards show a high degree of colour fading. Has anyone else had a similar experience? I have a few refractors that were pulled from packs in 94, stored in Oz for 10+ years and subsequently graded which show no degradation in the colour. Hoping to see whether it is a known issue or one that may be related to the environment. Thanks in advance

seems most likely. just want to see if anyone had similar issues away from the equator. there are a few pics on eBay from US sellers that seem faded but it could just be quality of the picture or poor lighting
