Lebron knows Ben Simmons will no doubt break some of his records in his career.
Im betting he didnt pick him so 'all star appearances' wont be one of them. Lol.

this is the guy I'm wrapped for

Personally I wouldnt have Draymond there... that guy gives me the shits....
KLove is lucky too imo
Horford should never have been picked.... I'd have Dwight in over him this season but Drummond deserves that spot way more.

No player or fan or coach will ever be happy until they decide (though not sure they have to?) what All-Star means. Is it most popular (fan vote using social media) or best players being rewarded for their play and their teams success?

If it's most popular then you are going to have some anomalies given population base difference and using social media with all this "vote counts double today" crap.

If it's best players then coaches and players should have the main/only say in the rosters and take more accountability during the game for the effort (D and dunk comp etc).

It also matters if All Star selections count towards the actual Hall of Fame compatability - again, back to the debate on the HOF process not being transparent enough, losing relevance, letting standards slip etc etc

Veterans whinging about how they played better and harder and shot less 3's back in their all star game days, current players whinging about being "snubbed" again, sick of it all to tell you the truth! I used to mad love the All Star weekend as a kid and now it's lost it aura imo.

Maybe I'm getting old.....maybe I need a beer and to lighten up lol

Definitely... Horfords numbers are not even close to his

Hang on, have you seen Horford's numbers? 1 point less, more assists, similar steals and blocks, better free throw % and obviously 3s.

Drum outdoes him in rebs and that's it.

I can't help but feel people brush over quality players for stat stuffing guys with no substance.

Horford has been doing this year in and out. He's like Mike Conley, totally underrated.

Lou should not have gotten in either. People are crazy.

Guards were Lillard, Steph, Harden, Klay and Jimmy. How you gonna put Lou over those guys? CP3 Is next in line anyway.

I'm not sure we see 4 GS players next season.

Denver also got nobody, come on....

Lou over Klay every day of the week... This year anyway :)

Jamal and Jokic will be there next few years.

Agree. Lou deserves it over Klay this year. Especially if the coaches are going to take into account the injuries that the Clippers have had Blake, Beverley, Rivers, Blake again.

The coaches voted for the reserves. The captains only choose who they want on their team.

I'm surprised that Simmons didn't make it. I was going to put a huge wager on him making it, but thought the better of it.

Player A: 17.0ppg, 6.0rpg, 6.7apg, 1.2spg, 42.5%fg
Player B: 16.3ppg, 7.9rpg, 7.2apg, 1.9spg, 51.2%fg

To me, its pretty obvious who should be in there between the two.

I think this may actually be a good game for a change. Interesting sub plots with Kyrie and Bron and KD and Westbrook. No love lost with those guys and on each others respective team. As far as an All Star game goes I am interested in this one.
Ben Simmons should have made the bench imo

So is the plot twist still to come?

When do the captains select teams and how does that work?
Yup the drama is yet to come. There has been calls to make the drafting of the players by the captains as a televised event but for this year at least, its getting done behind closed doors. It's just like a old fashioned schoolyard pick done alternately.
