2015 collecting goals

I'm looking to rediscover my focus - had a few bad experiences as a seller this year which led to having to sell off a lot of my decent cards to cover losses, but I'm back and focussing on Dr. J, Kidd, Carter, and Hill for my PC. Hoping to see some pending Panini redemptions arrive this year too!
 
welll this will be the year for me , over the next few months i will finally hit my 1000th name platw patch, this will be a moment ive wanted for sooo long , also will be continuing to hunt down k love missing plates and continue on my certified prime patch sets, my brilliance game time prime set and will be cleaning out alot of cards ive hung on for no reason at all.....
 
Ok so i smashed my goal already (see post #2) lol.

Goals for 2015 :

  • Add to my collection of Steven Adams (prefer Rookie Cards)
  • Chase a Prizm Rainbow of Steven Adams (prefer 2014-15 Prizm tbh)
  • Locate and purchase a god dam Gold Standard Auto #/10 (have not seen one show up on ebay at all) and this by far is my favorite set
  • Purchase 2+ 1/1's of Steven Adams (prefer RCs)
  • Build another PC (lower end items) for Nicolas Batum & Kyle Lowry (my two favorite players in the league).
  • Hit 100 Steven Adams cards (i currently at i believe 51)
 
If I was sane in any way shape or form, after seeing in paypal what I spent this year, my goal should be to cut it back to about half of that. lol.
 
I need to add to this. I don't know if this counts but I would like to add an investment property to my portfolio. It is collecting I suppose.

I am also going to add some of my favourite 90's MJ cards.

How is everyone tracking with their 2015 Collecting Goals?

I'm on track to hit my mark of 250 different PG cards. Currently at 170 which means I have acquired 77 since November.

I went through a very lean period $$$ wise which meant I missed out on a couple of PG Immaculate Patches. Hopefully they come back up for sale soon!

2015 Goals so far are off to a slow start. Only added 2 Golds to take me to 21/42. Hoping for 10 more this year and some big names to pop up.

Also want to add to me Ben Wallace Exquisite collection and my D. Cuz Immaculate collection.



I'd also like to grab some Kobe Autos, hoping for some Flawless.
 

My progress so far...
Moved from 10.27% to 23.72% on Spurs Immaculate chase
No bobbleheads as yet
Only 6.4% of Spurs Vintage collection
Still have 15.44% of Spurs autos
No signed jerseys as yet

Not much achieving yet but I have been focusing solely on Immac.
 

No more progress on the T-Mac autos, Pistons auto's never show up from the years he played there and only flawless contains spurs.

I got 10 or so prizm's left in that set, and 58 crusades left out of 300.

Have a nice little Lowry PC going of about 50 cards or so

And the important goal...
Faried rookie catalogue owned from 79% to just over 88% - less than 2% to go to reach the goal of 90% in 2015 - however there's only 2 cards I need floating around in the market right now so that 2% (or approx 6-7 cards) is easier said than done... This said, I just might have a mailday incoming to top the Immaculate / Flawless maildays of the last 2 weeks
 
I'd like to add 1 or 2 proper Aminu 1/1's this year (not plates), and maybe nab 1 of the 13 cards I need of his from his rookie season.
 
I never made a post/list earlier,

Goals were to
1. Not sell anymore (Failed, miserably as well)
2. Keep adding childhood players I enjoyed watching growing up
3. Add more Stars from the 1986 Fleer set in PSA 10 or BGS 9.5

So far,
Added 4 PC Cards
Sold (currently selling my common 1986 Fleer set with PWCC)
 
Since I could probably make a whole roster with the amount of guys I was collecting, I've scaled it back slightly and I'm concentrating on Kidd, Miller and Sprewell and Steven Adams, then picking up George, Nowitzki and Jordan when they happen to appear. Just yesterday i had my first mailday from COMC, mainly filled with Kidd, Miller, Sprewell and Steven Adams and a couple each of the other guys. I got 40 cards for $25 so was pretty rapt with that, more quantity than quality I guess. Mostly base and a few numbered cards. Will get some GU and AU in my next lot.

Officially reached my main 2015 goal:

Which means only 25 rookie year cards left to hunt down. However it took me 6-7 weeks to increase that percentage by only 2% so its going to start getting very hard now.

Onward and upward to the 500 cards in the PC milestone I suppose!
