Here is the story from the Australian Baseball Federation website..

Minor premier Victoria is one game away from winning baseball's 2009/10 Dominos Claxton Shield after beating South Australia 5-3 in Friday night's game one of the grand final series.

SA scored twice in the first inning after Jeremy Cresswell singled and Stephan Welch reached on an error, and both came home.

Victoria tied the game up with Brad Harman hitting a long home run to left field in the second frame, and back to back doubles from Brett Tamburrino and Andrew Russell in the third.

While South Australia came straight back on a RBI double from Scott Gladstone to hit the front in the fourth frame, Victoria won the game with a three-run push in the bottom of the fourth.

Back-to-back hits from Matthew Lawson and Elliott Biddle did the damage.

Both teams made pitching changes which saw the runs dry up. Matthew Blackmore came in to throw five innings of shutout ball to record the win for Victoria, with Russell Spear closing out the ninth.

South Australian Chris Lawson, pitched to eight batters for eight outs, while Dushan Ruzic finished the job over the final two frames.
