The Buffalo Bills selected mammoth defensive lineman Marcell Dareus out of Alabama with the third overall pick in the 2011 NFL Draft expecting huge things from the athletic playmaker who*clinched the 2010 BCS National Championship for the Crimson Tide with one of the greatest defensive plays in BCS history.
Halfway through his*rookie season, Dareus has not disappointed.
Dareus enters*Buffalo’s pivotal Week 9 matchup against the New York Jets with 19 tackles and 3.5 sacks. What’s more, his impressive showing in Buffalo’s Week 8 shutout over the Washington Redskins, when he registered four tackles and 2.5 sacks, earned Dareus NFL Pepsi Rookie of the Week honors.
