In conjunction with the company’s participation at this week’s 2013 Fan Expo Canada and next week’s 2013 NHLPA Rookie Showcase, Panini America is offering qualifying Canadian hobby shops the rare opportunity to take part in an exclusive sneak peek of 2012-13 Prime Hockey. Beginning Friday, five days before the national release of Prime, participating hobby stores north or the border will have the opportunity to host Prime sneak-peek events inside their shops.
The special promotion — which ends Sunday — will be conducted in concert with Universal Distribution and undoubtedly will generate even more hype for one of the season’s most anticipated releases. Participating shops are encouraged to document their Prime promotions this weekend via pictures and video and submit their entries to Universal Distribution for a chance to win additional prizes.
Canadian hobby stores should contact Universal Distribution for additional details, but here are some specifics:
- Sneak Preview cases of 2012-13 Prime Hockey will be shipped to each participating shop to arrive on Friday, August 23
- Sneak Preview events may be held anytime between Friday, August 23 and Sunday, August 25
- Product must be opened inside each participating shop. No sealed boxes or packs are to leave the shop before the official release date of August 28.
As part of this special Prime Sneak Preview weekend, collectors who visit the Panini America booth at 2013 Fan Expo Canada and take part in the company’s wrapper-redemption program will have the chance to win free spots in two 2012-13 Prime Hockey group breaks being facilitated by CloutsnChara. The breaks will take place on Friday and Saturday.
