Melbourne Accomodation

Hey guys
So i need some help from people in melbourne or ppl who have been to melbourne.
I need to know what is a good place to stay with my girlfriend and for a reasonable price, i kind of want to stay in the city and have some views.
Any other help would be much appreciated

I just recently stayed at Uni city apartments which are really cheap and on Lonsdale, in the heart of the city! Search them on AUS google and you will find it. It's good if you're not going to spend much time at the accomodation, but rather be out and about. Also get all your food from the Queen Victoria markets! 10 T-Bone steaks for $15! :shock:

The wife and I are staying at a hotel called The Atlantis when we go down in January. It's not too cheap but it's spose to be fairly new and close to the casino And in walking distance to Card Zone. Speaking of which, is this place any good? I've mail ordered from them a couple of times but they always seem very pricey..

Cheap hotel deals on there for you. I'd get a serviced appartment at the pacific on Exhibition near Collins. Good value.

Then again the veiw from my window is already pretty sweet :wink:

Yeah the Pacific ones are nice and good value like a said. I put my mum up there for a weekend off a while ago and she raved about it. Real modern and nice and big appts.

I'd go for that if you could.

i stayed at the kingsgate hotel which is cheap 99 a night for 2 ppl probally cheaper now was grand finalf weekend and holiday inn across from the cas which is real good

My gf and I spent 3 weeks in Melbourne at one of the best value accomodations in the country(I think). It was a backpackers on Park St, South Yarra, Dalgetty Inn I think it was called. Clean, comfortable, #8 tram at the door and under $190 a week for a double... I know, what a big spender!!

Though it's probably not suitable for a romantic weekend getaway, just thought I'd add my 2 cents on this post. Have a great trip!
