James Faulkner is the final player to sign!

I'm still trying to get my head around the ratio's for this release. There seems to be a few hundred signature cards per player?
Yet with the ratio's given, it will only be two signature cards per case and one jersey card per case. This doesn't seem like great value for money if there are 3 hits per case and the other remaining boxes will just have inserts? I hope I have got my calculations wrong as there needs to be more than 2 signatures per case. However, if it is correct, than that would mean that there heaps of cases of this release? BTW will the cards be hand numbered again?

I know the NRL fans weren't to happy with the Elite release not having much value per box, I hope this is not the same with this release.

This is a mass release which is going out to servos, newagents & other specialty stores, hense a much bigger run than last year. The set will be very very hard to complete with so many inserts in there.

Gives us something to chase though I guess.

I think your comparisons are off the mark here.....

Elite was $9 a pack and Cricket is $4 a pack and a Mass Market release. I understand there are 500 cases of Cricket and a large majority of this stock is going to network services.

From what i've been told you 2 Signatures and 2 Medallist Cards per Case (Both limited to 175). The Jersey Card from memory is about 1 in 3 cases.

I think a better comparison would be to compare this Cricket release to NRL Traders both at the same price. Traders had 2 Legends signature cards #/208, these fell 1 in nearly 5 cases.

For Cricket you get 2 signatures a case + medallists.

In terms of insert size, the parallel sets will be tough to complete, but all other inserts only have 12 cards in each insert set.

Cheers
Matt

Ahh that's right Elite is $9 a pack, what a rip off. How well did the Traders release go (given their ratio's are much higher per signature)?

In regards to a mass market release, who is the targeted market here? Causlual pack buyers, box buyers etc...?

We all know Elite was a cluster in terms of pricing and value for money which was a real shame as there were some great ideas. The saddest thing is seeing all of these master collectors walk away.

The cricket looks great. $4 per pack and boxes at $90 with a 1:52 hit per box. Quality signatures such as the current Aussie Captain, I am really looking forward to it.

The biggest misconception I am finding about card collecting these days seems to be your average collector wanting to make money from a box break. This is generally not possible and if this is your mindset then you shouldn't be calling yourself a collector. We all want value for money and I think that this release will do that.

There aren't many collectors left these days, majority just do it to buy and sell (to make a profit). Personally I'm not that big on box breaks, I just tend to buy pc players from each release.

I guess I am accustomed to having 2 signatures or a jersey card per box as we do for the overseas soccer releases, were spoiled for choice with soccer atm.
