Not Darko's fault he was in a super draft, and Larry Brown buried Darko at the end of the bench for at least two seasons, ruining his game. Kwame was number 1, played with the G.O.A.T., has had MORE than amount of opportunities and decent playing time, it's his own fault he is a bust!

How much has Darko done since leaving Detroit though?

What has being in a super draft got to do with it? Fact is, Darko is an average player at best. It has nothing to do with him being buried at the end of the Detroit bench.

At the same time, it is not Kwame's fault he was the #1 pick either, but he too, is an average player.

they can both only play the best they can, its the teams that put the pressure on them by drafting them.

but if u had the draft's over again, they wouldnt be picked in the came spot.

they arent that bad..they arent superstar players..just average players................if they were picked at # 15 people wouldnt be picking on them. Don't blame them...blame the Pistons and Wizards for picking them.

i thought Kwame played pretty good with the lakers...as a role player, but yeah isnt a # 1 pick...

Umm, worst draft pick as in worst player? That would be Kwame, Darko still 3 years younger and can be a blocking machine if he actually stays on the court.

Worst draft pick as in 'look at what was missed out on by drafting him in that position'? Darko for sure. Carmelo, Bosh, Wade just to name 3.

have to go with Brown for worst, not what you'd expect as a # 1 draft pick .

I think Darko is'nt a bad player just needs more minutes, seems pretty solid.

Kwame shows glimmers of being good but inconsistency and bad games, no defense played etc out numbers the good.

Think how good pistons would of been with melo, wade etc if they were picked
instead of darko.

you have to remember though.......Kwame came into the league with like no other # 1 pick had to......he was on a Michael Jordan team...he didn’t have the chance to develop at all with the Wizards....Haywood got his minutes, Doug Collins didn’t play him much, and when he did play he was nervous....as you would as a 18 year old playing with Michael Jordan...
as for Darko....the guy was on a winning team, so the pistons didn’t need him at all...both guys were picked by the WRONG TEAM...simple as that...both didn’t get a chance to develop their games as MOST players get a chance to being a # 1 pick or a # 2 pick.....would you develop with MJ taking 80% of your shots?? No

Kwame was way more overhyped and supposed to amount to much more.

The bottom line is that Kwame has had plentiful opportunities, Darko on the other hand has been shorthanded by coaches which isn't his fault, and in his seasons where he has been given time every can not deny his gradual improvement, up to now he's a great defensive threat and a solid shot-blocker. In a starters role he could easily get around 12 and 8 IMO.

Exactly.

All you guys who agreed that Darko is just as bad as Kwame really need to follow the NBA a bit more carefully.

Darko is far younger than Kwame and Kwame had way more opportunities than Darko did.

Besides didn't you all watch last season?

2007/08: 7.2 ppg, 6.1 rpg, 1.6 bpg, 23.8 minutes.

that's pretty productive IMO and better than Kwame has ever done throughout his whole career. and Darko is still only 23.

That draft was a major stuff up, I mean Parker, Arenas, Wallace, Dalembert, Jrich to name a few all should've been above kwame.
