What is PM

This is going to sound stupid but anyway here I go.
Does PM stand for private message and if not what does it mean?
How do I PM someone?
Any help would be much appreciated.

yes PM is private message.

To PM someone click their name then click start a converstation.

Yeah hey thanks for that, I was also wondering if starting a converstion was a private message. Glad thats cleared up!
