NFL Rookie of the Week initiative. So it comes as no surprise that once again this season — for the second straight year — Panini America and Pepsi would join forces to help promote
Pepsi Max Rookie of the Week voting and Panini America NFL Rookie trading cards.
The payoff for collectors and NFL fans everywhere will be some sweet virtual cards that will be highlighted on
the NFL Facebook page each week in a special Pepsi Rookie of the Week gallery, across social media platforms and NFL.com. Each week during the 2012 NFL season, Panini America will feature the five
Pepsi Max Rookie of the Week Nominees in a different Panini America football card design. (Stay tuned to

We’ll have more details as the season progresses. But for now, here are your
Pepsi Max Rookie of the Week Week 8 Nominees:
- Indianapolis Colts RB Vick Ballard had 55 yards on 12 carries as well as scoring the game-winning touchdown in overtime on a 16-yard screen pass to beat the Tennessee Titans, 19-13.
- Indianapolis Colts QB Andrew Luck completed 26-of-38 passes for 297 yards and a game-winning touchd pass in overtime as the Colts beat the Tennessee Titans, 19-13.
- Tampa Bay Buccaneers RB Doug Martin carried the ball 29 times for 135 yards and scored one touchdown on the ground and also tallied three receptions for 79 yards and another score in the Buccaneers’ 36-17 win over the Minnesota Vikings.
- Cleveland Browns RB Trent Richardson rushed for 122 yards and one score on 24 carries in the Browns’ 7-6 victory over the San Diego Chargers.
- Minnesota Vikings safety Harrison Smith recorded 13 total tackles in the Vikings’ 36-17 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
