Super Bowl XLVII’s Radio Row inside the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center on Friday afternoon, top-rated
2013 NFL Draft prospect
Geno Smith steadfastly made the rounds, talking to everyone from
ESPN to
NBC Sports to
CBS Sports to
Sirius XM and seemingly every big media outlet in between.
Smith’s talking points on that productive tour? Among other things, the upcoming NFL Draft, the
Kansas City Chiefs (who hold the No. 1 pick in April’s draft), his
just-inked relationship with Panini America and his participation in Saturday’s
Panini America Pop Warner Skills Clinic. Throughout the day, Smith carried with him special copies of his
2013 Score Football Rookie Card that he proudly showed off. Behind him, a trusty Panini America camera man was there to document the day’s events.
Wedged between interviews with the big boys, the former
West Virginia superstar QB sat down with Panini America’s
Tracy Hackler for a quick discussion on Smith’s collecting pursuits when he was a kid, signing his first trading card deal, perhaps signing with the Chiefs and his Rookie Card. Heck, Smith was so do-it-all dynamic that he even found time to open a few packs of
