By definition, the word “pantheon” means a temple dedicated to all the gods. So that makes Panini America’s 2017 Pantheon Football, in theory, a temple dedicated to all the football gods — past, present and future. Following in the footsteps of 2016 Pantheon Baseball that released last November, 2017 Pantheon Football releases Wednesday equipped with its own brand of nuances, including metal base cards (one per box) and a stacked roster of autograph and memorabilia cards.

The metal base set is numbered to just 50 features Gold (numbered to 10) and Bronze 1/1 parallels. On average, each seven-card box will deliver three autograph cards, three memorabilia cards and one base or parallel card. More than half of the autographs in the set are on-card and all non-RC autographs are numbered to 99 or less. The Rookie Autograph Memorabilia chase is numbered to 149 or less, but most are numbered to 99 or less.

Just like its baseball counterpart, 2017 Pantheon Football will deliver the popular “Mount Rushmore” memorabilia cards. Unlike the baseball release, this product also will deliver autographs from legendary coaches such as Bill Parcells, Dan Reeves, Dick LeBeau, Jimmy Johnson, Marv Levy, Mike Ditka and Mike Shanahan in the Mentors insert.

Featured signers for 2017 Pantheon Football include Aaron Rodgers, Andrew Luck, Barry Sanders, Brett Favre, Dan Marino, Deion Sanders, Drew Brees, Ezekiel Elliott, Jack Lambert, Jim Kelly, Joe Montana, John Elway, Jim Brown, Lance Alworth, Peyton Manning, Randy Moss, Ray Lewis, Troy Aikman, Terry Bradshaw, Joe Namath, Emmitt Smith, Calvin Johnson, Jerry Rice and many more. In addition, you can find memorabilia from Sanders, Elway, Bradshaw, Montana, Johnny Unitas, Bart Starr, Walter Payton, Emmitt Smith, Tom Brady, Jerry Rice, Dick Butkus, Doak Walker, Brett Favre and more.

In the revealing Quality Control Gallery that follows, we showcase some of the highlights from the recent packout process. Enjoy the imagery and stay tuned to The Knight’s Lance for continued coverage of 2017 Pantheon Football.
