Seemingly everything about Panini America’s popular prospecting product known as Elite Extra Edition Baseball has changed for 2016. New look. New logo. New content. New configuration. Indeed, when 2016 Elite Extra Edition Baseball arrives in hobby shops across North America next Wednesday, it will deliver a refreshing departure from the EEEs of the past while still delivering some of the first trading cards and autographs of baseball’s most potential-packed fresh faces (including the first baseball autograph cards of the Mets’ Tim Tebow).

The completely revamped product (five cards per pack, five packs per box) will deliver two autograph or memorabilia cards per hobby pack and each five-pack hobby box will yield eight autograph cards and two memorabilia cards. As you’ll see in the revealing Quality Control Gallery that follows, there’s a lot to like aesthetically about the new-look Elite Extra Edition. But there’s also a lot to like from a content perspective.

Every card made for 2016 Elite Extra Edition Baseball is numbered and the usual chase-worthy arsenal of parallels (Status and Aspirations in a rainbow array of die-cut and colored versions) looks better than ever. Each hobby case (20 boxes) contains three Prime Silhouette Autographs and 11 boxes per case will include an 11th autograph or memorabilia card.

Take a deep dive into the new and improved 2016 Elite Extra Edition Baseball in the gallery that follows and be sure to stick around after the imagery to checkout out the complete product checklist. Stay tuned for continued coverage.
