The Prizm Baseball brand has come quite a long way in five short months. Since debuting with the buzz-generating release of that maiden 2012 edition in April, the product has deftly etched its own enviable niche in the baseball hobby just like its Panini America counterparts in the NBA, NFL and NHL.

Armed with a mesmerizing array of Prizm parallels, a solid checklist of veteran and rookie autograph signers and the unparalleled power of its namesake printing technology, 2012 Prizm Baseball wasted no time in packing its initial punch. One week from tomorrow, the next big hit is coming.

Bolstered by new designs, new Prizm colors, new inserts and the first Prizm RCs and parallels of rookie sensation Yasiel Puig, 2013 Prizm Baseball goes live next Wednesday with a new installment that promises to deliver just as much “wow” as the debut. During final preparations for the release late last week, Panini America’s Mike Payne and Tim Trout spent some quality time quality controlling the product and many of their findings can be seen for the first time in the gallery that follows.

Enjoy this extended first look at 2013 Prizm Baseball and stay tuned to The Knight’s Lance in the coming days for additional coverage.
