The finishing 5th curse..

found this around the traps.. very interesting...

It seems like a curse to finish the home and away season 5th....

2006 Collingwood (5th) lost to Bulldogs (8th)
2005 Kangaroos (5th) lost to Port (8th)
2004 Melbourne (5th) lost to Essendon (8th)
2003 Fremantle (5th) lost to Essendon (8th)
2000 Geelong (5th) lost to Hawthorn (8th)

with just a couple of exceptions, one of them being
2002 Essendon (5th) defeated West Coast (8th)

I'd have to say, looking at that curse, is it's not a curse, it's bloody brilliant, I would have preferred every team that won in those matches to have won.
