Not true. We don't pay any luxury tax (as yet) and unlike the C's we didn't trade young players for old stars...we traded Kwame Brown for Gasol, Cook for Ariza.

One thing I'll pay is that we don't have multiple rings yet, but 4 in 10 years is pretty good...

Not to challenge your knowledge Jimbo but the Spurs have only won three in the past decade.....the 4th was in the 90's (1999)!!!

Haha I thought by the last decade we meant 1999-2009.

If you thought the decade SO FAR from 2000-2009 then fair call haha but I interpreted it differently (as in the decade to the current day, so the 9 years before this year plus this year).
