Swaping/Trading

Hi all,

I have not been apart of this site for long. I have just got back into card collecting. i have not really done it for about 10 years. It seemed to stop when i got married. now that things have changed i would like to go back and fill in a few gaps.

The name of this site was appealing to me as i thought that i would find people who are in the same/similar possition to myself. So far i have come accross a few people that would like to help. I have found so far that this site is not really like its name. All people want to do is sell.

May be my small town upbringing was not the right place to be. It was a community, where everyone knew each other and what they were doing. Way back in the day yes i collected cards. We would swap cards so that, yes you got what you wanted but so did your mate. If it meant you got a double then so be it. he was happy and you never lost out.

I have put up a few threads trying to get even just common cards at this stage. This must be beneath most of you as you only do high end stuff. Surely you must have 1000's of lose cards lying around the place.

What does Swap mean?

I would look forward to hearing from anyone that like to help others fill in thier missing cards. Do not want to buy anything, just want to swap. This may even cost just a little as yes you have to post cards. That is fine i can help with that.

Big deal you have already have 2 cards of number 26 in 2008 champs. (random number i pulled out). Whats another one added to that if you are helping others fill in thier voids. Whats the old saying "its better to give than receive." Why dont people on here help people out, or is it all about making money.

I'm really not sure what has got your knickers in the twist but this site is fantastic for freebies and there are just as many trades that occur as sales.

Some things to consider

Knickers are not in a not at all. I was just saying a little about my background and that i have found it hard so far to get the basic things. Guys only seem to have high end cards.

Considering all.

1. Yeah i have read some of those, they are great.
2. I have asked several times for that to be corrected form the others that were in the deal. They had all been done, yes they took sometime and i made a mistake on one of them. But all was corrected from my end over the time.
4. I did put somethings on ebay. I thought that if i sold some things i would then be able to purchase some of the cards from guys on here.
5. I dont really have anything that guys want. i have very few high end cards and we all know that you are not going to send those to people for free. I'm only very small i suppose in the whole trading thing and i have to start somewhere.

I do think that i will be able to fill in some gaps. I was just after thought from people thats all. i wasnt trying to cause any waves or anything just looking for anwsers from people like yourself.
