Show in brisbane - any interest????

Just wondering what other card members would think about a card show been held in brisbane area on a saturday would there be any interest????

What shits me off about this forum as there was 36 views and only 2 replies. Cmon there has to be more then 2 QLD based people on this forum.

You all complain and whinge that there is no card show yet i post something up to see what feedback i would get so i could prove to some card stores up here that if they held a show there would be interest.

No bloody wonder we don't have a card show.

Need to know dates and you might get a better response and Qld is a f_____n big place we all dont live in brisbane i live 4hrs away so it has to be planned.

Is their any real interests in a card show in brisbane or are people just full of hot air.
I can tell you this i know what is being done to get this off the ground the person doing it will to spend $$$ to make this happen,this is not the only place this has gone out to but i will tell you this either get behind it because otherwise they will go else where with their money and wont waste their time doing a show.
Show youre support write on this forum.
Basically stop being a keyboard Warrior because the moves to get this show up and running you will not believe.
Get on and show support otherwise it wont happen.
Write something on here they are giving it one more week then they will move onto something else.

I know what the plans are in thi show and it will compete with any show in Sydney or Melbourne i would even go as far to say it would be bigger,i know this is a big call but i think we are going to miss out here.

You might have it covered Corey, but if not, I would do a memorabilia table specialising in cricket memorabilia. There would be anything from framed cards to match worn clothing and game used stumps !!

Would also have quite a few folders of signed cards covering Cricket, Golf, NRL, AFL, Union and whatever else I scrape together...

of course there is interest, once the show is confirmed people will attend but its quite frustrating saying over and over that you would go to a show and then it never happens, im sure if you had dates and what is going to be there etc people will jump on board

I recently moved up from Sydney, I would love to go to a card show here put me down I will definately be there

I think there would be definite interest, especially if people know something will definitely go ahead and be worth it because:

A) There are often ideas for a show like this and it never eventuates so i think people are sceptical about the idea.

B) It is not worth it sometimes. No offence at all to the guys who did the last one at Mansfield and i appreciate the effort's of everyone involved but it was advertised as having more sellers and like it would be bigger...i turned up and there were four stalls at most in a tiny room with a few different boxes to buy (mainly 2012 champions) and some singles.

I stayed about 2 mins and then left. Thankfully i only lived 5 mins drive away but i can imagine that people who drive a long way may be pissed off to find that a few stalls. As i said, no offence to the guys involved, what they did was great, what they needed was others following their lead....it isn't worth if there aren't more sellers who are willing to be involved and who follow through on their promise to be there.
