I've found it much cheaper over there than here. Aus ebay prices are crazy for the stuff i have bought. Even the auctions go for much higher.

Yeah... Definitely the raw cost of the box is cheaper. Not sure how much more when adding in insurance and shipping.

I'll do some calculations after I get my first shipment sent home though, and figure it out.

GST and Shipping each item separately will cost heaps!

Shipping to SMC is rarely > $5US. Add in their acceptance costs and it still is quite good.

I will let you know what I get slugged once processed.

Requested Sunday 1st of August...arrived at 9:15AM today

By the way, when I was inspecting my items, a big ass beetle dropped out of the box.

I will let SMC know that maybe they should double check the packaging before sending. Got the fright of my life haaha. It was well dead, but i sealed it in a bag and now have to decide wtf to do

What did you do in terms of the declared value? Did you enter what you paid or did you write it down a bit?

If you don't mind me asking, what did you ship and how much did it cost? Did you have to pay GST here?

By 'write it down a bit', I'd say write it down a lot.
$20 for a slab, $5 for a raw card, $50-$100 for a box. I don't know how much scrutiny they put on the declared value, unless its over the 1k threshold for GST.

Ok @TAB1980. Here is the rundown.

This is what I got shipped back below. Now if I entered what I paid for all this stuff, well I would probably get a call from the govt.





I put a customs amount of $475 on the total of the items and paid $147US Postage + $35 Insurance. It was cleared at Sydney Airport without issue.

Requested on Sunday August 1 and got it this morning. They didn't have one of my items in the store i purchased so they replaced it for two blasters
 

Holy hell man! Nice haul! Looks like i've got some wriggle room in terms of declared value... lol

I usually but from ebay (even if i have to pay more fees to SMC). I like that I can throw a few offers and hopefully get a few bargains. Need to factor in SMC costs.

I rarely buy from online stores, but if I do, it's usually Steel City, Dave and Adams or Blowout. I mainly buy retail stuff as you can see, so that stuff is usually sold by flippers on ebay.
