I sold 3 soccer cards to a guy in Poland.
He asked for a postage discount so I knocked off half of the double postage paid. $50-$25
Ebay did not automatically credit the fees on the postage discount and have not previously without contacting them.
Normal store fees are 11.9% plus 1% international plus GST, total 14.2%
My cards totalled $185 inc postage so the fee should have been $26
They charged me $37 or 20%
They did not discount the postage fees and also charged me fees on the buyers VAT that was collected for Poland.
I could not find an adequate explanation for these fees on their website. I chatted to someone online who sent a couple of links but did not clearly show these fees. He then cut me off without warning.
I cancelled the order, apologized to the buyer and will now look into selling my soccer cards at COMC instead.
