Just putting out feeders atm to see what sort of communication i can get back ...
All the communications so far on here are telling you that you want above retail prices !
Don't waste your time bud put them on EBay as a bulk buy on 1 listing watch all the watches come on board !

There are plenty of respected collectors on here trying to advise you on these and if you don't choose to listen you will have them for a long time unsold

There are also restrictions & conditions on this site. ie: less than 10 feedback on trading you have to send cards 1st once other person receives them they only pay for them then....

The market is flooded with 1968 & 1969 Scanlens over the last 5-6 years, so unless they are MINT or N/Mint they are not getting top $$$

they are only worth what somebody is willing to pay for them mate -

That's what we have been trying to tell you!!! If you want to sell them you will need to list them at BIN & if prices to high they won't sell.
If you start auctions at realistic price you might sell them but you won't get what you are asking on here!!!!

Nice chunk of cards.

I'm in the group who thinks the bulk sale mark is more around the $5k-$6k figure. Your retail figures in my opinion are about double the current market.

I also agree with others that there aren't too many collectors with that sort of cash looking for a bulk lot and I personally believe you would have more chance selling by splitting them down into smaller lots.

Good luck with the sale.

Cheers
Ross

Hi Ross thanks mate I agree some of the prices being asked on ebay are excessive but attainable i got the prices from the following links and then conservatively lowered my asking price to ensure the buyer is able to make money selling cards on i can't see how cards being on sold should be able to make $10k off me ....

Cheers

Hey Craig,

Like Robbie suggests the sites you've linked to aren't a good example of real market value. The three sellers are very expensive.

I don't think you are too far off the mark with the $30 a card on the bulk lot for the 68 / 68B and 69 that you are selling them for but that is retail and IMO there is no on sell margin for any re-seller.

Where I think you are about $3k off the mark is with the 69 die cuts, They are a $75 average sell not anywhere near the $110 average you are selling them at and the near $200 retail you have quoted on them isn't likely to happen ever. The only real exception is Beetson which will go higher.

Hence why I suggest you split them from the massive $10k bulk lot you are asking as some lots may sell but not in a bulk lot with the mis-pricing of the die cuts.

Here's examples:

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Bob-Bola...279131?hash=item33c2e76e9b:g:Sd8AAOSwx2dYJ-ck
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Graeme-S...597179?hash=item4b0c298e3b:g:z-cAAOSwA3dYJ-WL
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/John-Pea...599373?hash=item4b0c2996cd:g:4cwAAOSwA3dYJ-Z7

All that said there is of course no harm in trying as the old saying goes "a fool and their money are soon parted".

Cheers
Ross
