sad sad news, alan jeans dead at 77

just saw this on fox sports. allan jeans has passed away aged 77. what a legend in our hawks family. he will always be remembered

Yes very sad. Four flags as a coach, legend of the game, no doubt. They have been playing some of his in-huddle speeches on the radio this morning. Just gives goosebumps no matter how many times you hear them.

He meant more to the Hawks than just wins, he was a mentor to those players that became coaches that played under him, Matthews, Knights, Judge, Ayres, Buckenara, Schwab, Eade, I am sure there are more.

But the culture of Hawthorn has a lot to do with Jeans.
