Hey guys when i usually send registered post i have to fill out a form but yesterday my old girl posted something for me and there was no form to fill out and she was just given a sticker on the reciept saying it was sent registered.
i have never filled out a form when I have sent registered post. I buy the pre-paid registered post envelopes..........my local post office just stamps the tear off bit and away it goes.
Sounds a bit dodgy?? what happens if you want extras or insurance?? where is that suppose to be recorded???
I had to fill out the normal yellow forms when i sent mine registed yesterday....maybe we are behind??
You could use the pre registed envelope as one member said, but then you would be banned from here if it was trading from here..... so not a real smart idea
I believe if you do want extra insurance & bells & whistles etc there is still a form to fill out. I think the 'stick it and run' idea is just for straight forward registered. The lady told me you can buy pre-paid registered stickers as well, but I cant see the point if you have to goto the counter with registered mail anyway.
Um yeah I wouldnt stress Sacha, it sounds like these stickers are just starting to be pushed by Australia Post.
Thank god for that, it had me worried there as it was the card coming your way

That is so you can buy 10 and get 5% discount and do not have to use them all at once. Or if you have a lot of mailing, then you package all your stuff at home and drop them off at the post office.

I just bought 10 today from the post office w/ 5% discount...southbank post office does it no worries (I also goto werribee post office when i'm not at work and they're fine in there too)
Some PO's say you don't need the paperwork, others say you do. At the end of the day if you sell registered post on ebay and the buyer pays paypal, then as far as I know you need the form with tracking numbers, addresses, etc for proof, otherwise if dodgy buyer says item not received then seller is in trouble...
Prepaid reg post envelopes have the info on the tearoff slip with PO date stamp so are ok
