Not sure if you’ve seen the new tv series. although it’s more appealing to teenagers, I’ve actually really enjoyed the show and it’s getting quite good reception.. Will likely be a second season. + has the main dude from final destination all grown up, makes me feel old despite only being in my 20s 😂
have heard about it, but I am yet to view it.
the last month has been full up of MLB world series & NFL & Narcos..
Cheers for the heads up.

ghostbusters: afterlife - 4/10. meh.
8-bit christmas - 5/10. doogie howser tells a x-mas story to his kid about how he got his NES. pretty corny, but good enough to waste some time.
the beatles: get back - 6/10. kinda boring actually. big fan, and some of the footage is great, but was expecting more i guess. definitely worth watching tho.

as for the 'chucky' series, its not too bad. better than some of the movies anyway...also 'day of the dead' is a show now. its abandoned both romero's AND russo's versions of zombies tho...

Red Sox broke my heart and I know my bengals will tease me again with pretending to be decent then turning into utter crap. I’ve escaped my pain from sport with watching shitty horror movies

The Last Duel - 8/10. not sure why this is getting so much hate? i really liked it. yes, theres quite a bit of talking, but its well written, so i dont see the problem. brilliantly shot, and the story is told in an interesting way. its about the last sanctioned duel in france. over a woman...typical.

The Little Things - 7/10

Worth a watch if you have nothing else to see.
Good character portrayal by all the leads and a good storyline.

The Protege - 7/10

Samuel L Jackson, Michael Keaton and Maggie Q do a great job in this underrated flick.
Well worth a watch.

Anyone seen The Many Saints of Newark?

Big Sopranos fan, hoping this doesn't ruin the series and weighing up whether or not to pay the current $29.99 rent fee

I would wait until the price drops (or board a pirate ship to find it)

It was very good but as another Sopranos fan I'd have been disappointed if I had forked out $30 to see it

I just rewatched Spiderman: Homecoming for the 2nd time.

There is rather a funny story attached to this. I took my grandson - then aged 9 - to see this when it was first released in Adelaide. He had seen and loved the first 3. There were 3 or 4 teenage girls sitting behind us. The movie had got to the scene where a teacher catches spiderman’s mate monitoring the villain on a PC above where the school’s formal is taking place and when she asks what he is doing he says he is watching porn. At which point he girls behind erupted in laughter and just as they quieted my grandson says “ What’s porn?”. This set them off again. I just leaned over and whispered to him “It’s watching girls with no clothes on”. This seemed to satisfy him until we were walking back to the car when he turned to his Grandma and asks “Why would you want to look at girls with no clothes on?” We left it up to his Dad to explain a few things to him!

The Matrix - 9.2/10 - Decided to watch the original Matrix again with my father and nephew as they had never watched it before.

First class acting, an epic storyline, the right pacing it's told in, great length of film and the build up to the epic action scenes are just perfection.
All of this really stood out to me this time around. I'd recommend a re-watch to all as you can truly take in everything that is incredible about this movie.

For a 20+ year old film it's crazy how relevant a lot of the themes in the film can still be considered to this day and with a few tweaks it could easily be re-released today and we would still go crazy over it.

Would have been better if they re-released the first one instead of making a new one

Matrix resurrections 4/10. Meh just trying to make some cash
