Oversea Insurance

I was wondering what the rate of insurance was to send cards overseas. I checked Australian Post and that kinda confused me.

I know some people shy away from paper envelopes.....

BUT...

You can purchase one from Aust Post (roughly $10-$11 total includes posting).

Comes with up to $100 FREE Insurance.

You can keep card safe by using bubble wrap and toploaders/screwdowns, etc.

It's like what we receive from US sellers where we have to sign for it at the PO.

Works fine.

Any one else got suggestions??

Thanks for the reply Mavsman, but what happens if the cards are valued more than $100, say $200-400, what do you do? Btw, what was the envelope that you suggested mavsman?

You can only (legally) ship cards as a parcel and purchase insurance.

I can remember the exact costs but, parcel post costs minimum of around $10 (or something similar) then a couple of dollars per $100 insurance.

Im not sure how you would go claiming insurance on one of those documents as they are only supposed to be used to carry documents.
