Uggh...that was a close game. Just a couple of mistakes in the final minute and it's game over. The foul on Dirk by Pau, then not taking care of the ball and letting it slip from him. Bynum didn't get many plays run for him and only took 8 shots the whole game. Artest probably had the worst shot selection of any Laker this game and didn't play well. G2 come on!

what can you say!!! in not happy...lakers had like a 16 point lead at one stage and let the mavs come back on a run of their own!!! dirk played well, just disappointed that we cant keep a lead and defend it! game 2 is crucial! and as is the need to win on the road now as well! artest's shot selection was terrible, what can you do...

Wow, Kobe's shots were sweet the whole game and not far off with the last one either. Point is, being up 16 and then having it come to that was not what it should have been.
Dirk, unstoppable when hitting that like step back fade, and good to see Brewer hit the condensed version highlights!
Kidd would have to be feelin the pressure going to the line for the first time that game to try to put the lead at 3!

Kobe needs to learn to pass the ball, having guys standing around gets them out of the rhythm of the game, same as what happened to the Magic. Whenever howard has a huge game the rest of the team sucks and they lose.

PFFFFT Mavs got lucky.....Gasol with a stupid Foul with 20 ticks left....Watched the game a few times so far....And PAU GASOL WHERE ARE YOU????Where was he when the Mavs went on a nice little run of their own??
This Loss can land on Gasol's Shoulders....Haywood and Chandler did a excellent job on Bynum...The Mavs wont shoot that well again from the 3 PT line we just have to come out and be agressive in GM 2...I think we will still win the series...
And what was with Phil playing Blake and Barnes more than Kobe in the 4TH???

^^^You'll find that the second unit of Barnes, Brown, Odom, Bynum and Blake will start the 4th quarter and say in until about the 7 minute mark for a lot of games. That second unit has been very athletic and quick and can close out games as good as the starting 5. It does make it hard for them to get in the groove of the game with Kobe dominating the offense from the start unfortunately. But when they get their shots early in the game, they have been very effective.
