Seems these kids are turning out to be relatively talented.

Jeffrey is already being named in many Class of 2007 - Top 50's.
and here's a profile

Marcus is starring as an 8th grader and has been described as " the best eighth-grade basketball player in the state of Illinois."

Here he is listed as the number one in Illinois

Got to be a little bit of pressure to go along for these kids.

Ive actually read a lot about Jeffrey getting all this credit without actually deserving it..Like everyone says he's good just because of who he is, ya know?

Those were my exact thoughts.

Who cares about them anyway, Derrick Rose or Eric Gordon (can't remember which one) are both pretty much consensus top 10's of the HS class following Oden's (the OJ MAYO class) and either Rose or Gordon's HS team played Jeffrey Jordans, and one of the two dropped like 50 points on him.

Destroyed - there's a video on youtube about it, embarressing for MJ's kid, he finished with like 11 points or something like that.

I don;t think anyone is saying these kids will be as good as their dad.

But you have to give them a chance - Jeff is just about to start his first college season and Marcus is the #1 Illinois prospect for the 2009 class. People aren't going to give them these chances or honours just on the possibility their dad might come to a game or something

Andrew,

thanks for the update...

Jeff is MJ's middle name, he must love his son alot.. but no offense, he looked more like smaller Bill Cartwright, instead of MJ hehe.. Marcus looked like MJ though..

Jeff Jordan, who is MJ's son, scores on a drive to the basket, drawing a foul in the process. However, he fails to convert what would have been his first three-point play for the Illinois Fighting Illini. JJ played well (Aug. 31, 2007) in the exhibition against Canadian national champs Carleton University. The walk-on scored six points, grabbed one steal and played significant minutes during overtime for the Illini. In the end, the Big Ten team pulled off the victory over the Ravens 74-72 in overtime. Father Michael Jordan was a no-show for his son's debut after determining that there are no private boxes in the bandbox gym that seats only 1,500.

How cool is it to wear a Jersey with your dad's Nike symbol on it? I mean, he's got like the COOLEST dad on earth! I understand he's trying to be his own guy, but surely he models his game a little after his legendary father's. Anyway, great clip.
