THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. — Panini America made the most of Saturday’s 2018 NFLPA Rookie Premiere by capturing the compelling content (autographs, memorabilia, photography, video and more) that will drive the company’s NFL trading card products for the rest of 2018 and beyond. But the company used its Panini Instant platform to once again deliver innovation to one of the most important events of the year: Real-time Panini Instant Rookie Cards featuring the 40 rookies in attendance in their NFL uniforms for the first time.
One by one, players made their way to the Panini Instant station inside the sun-soaked-but-breezy William Rolland Stadium on the campus of California Lutheran University to pose for their Instant imagery. Within minutes, photos were shot, designs were completed and cards were available on the Panini Instant platform.
Each of the 40 cards is available in a base version and limited-edition versions numbered to 10 and only one. How hot were the cards immediately upon release? Hot enough that most of the limited parallels already are gone. But the base cards as well as remaining parallels will be available to order for a limited time.
