How Isiah destroyed the Knicks....

I think he'll be gone soon - amazing to see what he's done to the place!!!.

Couldn't get over Jalen Rose $30 mill for 3 months work. Now he's an espn.com analyst and a crap one at that!!

To continue reading this article you must be an Insider.

And I can't be assed joining up - any chance of a cut and paste ?

Ditto.

Wouldnt mind reading it, so if anyone can copy & paste (best to copy, as I reckon ESPN might get upset if we cut it from their www )

whereiswally you are great very intresting read thanks for sharing this article to everyone on the site

isah = trouble it is clear the knicks need a shack up quick fast

I was aware of Isiah's spending habits but not to this extent.

Thank you whereiswally78 for this sad but great read. I don't know where to start on this topic, I've tried to ignore it but it never seems to go away.

Isiah has made his bed and now he has to lie in it. We still have a chance to pick up some nice franchise players over the next 2 years, that is unless we trade off those draft picks for some more veteran rejects.

These words below really look good on paper but in reality it's alot harder with the wrong people at the helm.

I'll try to keep this short & sweet by saying it's easier to contribute to the stoning then to find a solution, so here goes.

Ok, here are some solutions I have for Isiah and Jim-

Trade Randolph and Richardson for Gasol and Cardinal.

Now sure they are getting Cardinal who is a complete spare who is being overpaid, howevere by doing this trade they would save over 5 million (x2 for the luxury tax) over the next few years as the players have the same contract lengths of 3 and 4 years. Gasol would be a better fit for the more up tempo style of play that Isiah has wanted implement since he started and the chemistry is between Randolph and Curry is skeptical at best. On the Memphis side of things, they want someone who can defend and rebound better down low and they will get that with Zach and they get quite a bit more talent with QRich over Cardinal even if he isn't playing at the level he should be.

Next up, trade Jamal Crawford and Mardy Collins or Renaldo Balkman (whoever Miami wants) for Ricky Davis and Smush Parker.

Jamal has given glimpses of a pretty decent player, but playing in the Big Apple and the shenanigans there have limited his potential and would more than likely flourish down in South Beach. Miami can take their pick from either one of those young players, it doesn't really matter in the end though. In return they might get a couple of guys who may not work well in the locker or with the team, but the more important factor is the cap space side of things with by saving millions (over 30 million in fact) as both Davis and Parker come off the books at the end of the season. Miami would do this pretty quickly I feel too as Parker has done nothing for the Heat and they would get another offensive power to take the pressure of Wade and Shaq. Besides what more can they lose? They're already riding a 12 game losing streak....

Next, try and con the Spurs into taking Jared Jeffries for Brent Barry.

Jared still has 3 seasons left after this one on his contract, but on the positive side the Spurs love to get guys who have better than average defensive abilities. Jeffries is pretty lanky would give the Spurs an extra body to defend guys of similar size in the playoffs to take some burden of Duncan. Barry has done bugger all for the Spurs this year anyway. He has the vertical leap of a toddler now and even struggles to knock down the 3 since coming back from another injury. Barry would just have to ride this season out and his contract comes off the books this season which will save the Knicks a futher 16 odd million (x2 again for taxation) down the track.

If you can somehow trade Marbury and/or Curry I would do that to, but suitors may be quite difficult to find.

Certainly didn't post that to diss Knick fans - it's amazing what he's done. wjrwebber - I don't think Gasol would want to go there or that the Grizz would do that deal.

I would like someone to analyse Kevin McHale's moves. The only thing that saves him is drafting Kevin Garnett - but then his failure to build a team around KG might make him as a big a failure as Thomas.

thanks for the read lol

could be worse.

knicks could of went bankrupt

heres why the knicks will never ever go bankrupt... read this from wikipedia...
James Dolan the chairman of Cablevision cable TV network, owns the Knicks and many other NY sporting franchises as well as stadiums, broadcast rights etc... money is no problem for him and hence why he doesnt give a rats about costs blowing out... no doubt isiah should be sacked. they should clean house and do what mj did with washington and what portland have done recently, and thats clean out all the bad contracts and all the shit blokes

kind of like concrete layers.. is he an idiot.. why not compare your team to another franchise that's gone through the same thing? oh wait.. the bulls wherent even that bad for that long, and they lost 2 of the games 50 greatest players ever, plus a ROY.. he's screwed them for life..
