Hey guys

As you might already know I'm very new to non-sports cards and I have missed quite a few good products in the last few years (I'm spewing about the Walking Dead especially).

I'm a big fan of Star Trek Voyager and also Stargate SG1 and Atlantis.

I am looking at both of these products but can only afford to get one at the moment.

If anyone has them, which one do you think is the better quality product?

Am I better to wait for the Quotable Star Trek Voyager? Is that set likely to have good relics and Autos?

Also is there any recent Doctor Who cards? I'd be interested in them too if they exist.

First, go to Jeff's checklist site at http://nslists.com/jaall.htm which will let you know about what's in each box. It will also let you know about Dr Who sets.

The Voyager box will basically have 2 autos and the main cast members who signed did so as their Captain Proton characters so it's not that exciting a release. However, there were rare sketch, costume and dual auto cards, which you might get lucky and pull.

Stargate Heroes on the other hand was packed because Rittenhouse was clearing out their SG1 and Atlantis stuff so they could focus on SGU. Each box had 3 autos and 2 costume cards. The main cast autos were all Atlantis though, so less exciting for an SG1 fan.

Both boxes will give you a base set. The Voyager base set is more interesting as it is plot/episode based, while the Stargate Heroes set has pictures of the characters.

I don't know what they're going to do with the Voyager set. It seems unlikely they have much stuff around but modern Rittenhouse sets do tend to be more packed than the older ones (though it might also be a premium pack) and very focussed on autos and relics. They seem to have been able to find stuff for their other recent Star Trek sets, particularly autos more than relics.

oh wow that site is good, thanks for taking the time to respond, I'll have a look at it. I really liked Atlantis so that is no detraction for me. The Stargate ones are cheaper too. I still don't know though, Voyager is probably my all time favourite show, wish I could have both.
