Help Urgent! ps3 error message!

Hey guys trying to play for the first time nba 2k13 on the ps3 i updates to 4.31 and the game wont load and i get a error message - 8001006 anyone help or is it the disc? the disc seems fine! Help

Delete the game from your ps3 then reinstall.

Hmmm so there is no gamedata on the ps3? Did the game install?

will have check mate it installed some update 4.31 when i first loaded it up then went to start the game again that message came up!

Hey James just checked no game data on the new game only just 2k12 im thinking the disc is stuffed i brought the game on here too

Sorry mate that's about all I'd be able to help you with, sounds like it might just be a disc problem. Do you have access to another ps3 you can try it on?

It shouldn't matter what country it from ps3 games are region free.

PS3 games are region free, so that shouldn't be the issue.

Maybe contact the seller and explain the situation he might know what the problem is

Pretty sure 8001006 error is a Load error,
Usually can only mean a few things
If your disc spins and makes weird noises when loading once put in it will be a disc fault or your laser is on its way out
Or your update wasnt fully succesful which means the disc wont load, just check your setting to make sure version 4.31 has installed fully.

hey John will have a check if the install was completed the ps3 plays the other games fine so i have no idea atm

Go to settings on the main screen, then to System settings, The down to System Information
From there it should say at the top System Software: Version 4.31

If its has a different version number the update was succesful
If the disc makes a funny noise when loading it could be just the disc then
