Heads up about buying from the eBay vault

If you try and pay for an item in the eBay vault with either an eBay account, PayPal account, or payment card that are Australian, it won't work.

The only way to buy an item from the vault is to be enrolled in the vault, and to be enrolled in the vault, you have to have a primary address in the US, and your eBay account needs to be a US one. And likely a US social security number too.

So in a nutshell, there's nothing stopping internationals bidding on vault items (no alert, warning, listing blocking, bid blocking etc) - but they just won't be able to pay for them. Amazing system for real

That's weird! So they are clearly trying to keep it to be only used by Americans and not as a middle man / central shipping point for the rest of the world. Fair enough. But they they should have a eBay Aus vault, an ebay China vault etc etc imo

Yeah it's wild. Can't even sign up for it unless in the US. Checked my watch list and there's so many cards on there that are in the vault
