My first memories of footy card are the pink 88 Scanlens.
5 cards and 1 x stick of gum in a wax pack, 30c!!
I think they went up each year, 35c in 89, 40c in 90 and when Regina hit the market they were 75c per packet

I think Dynamic Series 1 in 1994 were $1.50 RRP and most folks were WTF and "no gum?!?!".

I used to have one of my dad's old King Edward cigar boxes and I'd stash all my gum and cards in it as a kid too. No UP two pieces or penny sleeves back then.

1983. I collected this set. I was 10 years old. My old man would make me walk 2 kms on my own to buy him cigarettes from the shops, 50 cents was in it for me to buy two packs of cards. Never had an issue buying cigarettes, was considered a fairly normal thing to do back then.
Same here, down the shops to buy mum a packet of Kool cigs and the change was mine but for me it was mid 1970s.
