Panini America’s Dominion Basketball brand has traveled a somewhat circuitous route back into popular collecting lexicon. The brand started as one-and-done hockey release during the 2013-14 season and then disappeared for the next three seasons. And then, seemingly out of the blue, the high-end brand resurfaced last summer as an NBA release. Bolstered by the success of that reintroduction, company officials are bringing it back again for 2018-19 and are adding just a little more bang.

Set to arrive in a revised late-December window, 2018-19 Dominion Basketball will deliver the first on-card Rookie Jersey Autographs of the year with base versions numbered to 199 and Gold Prime (numbered to 10) and Platinum Prime 1/1 versions. On average, each hobby box (six cards per box, six boxes per case) will deliver three autographs and one memorabilia card.

Additional highlights of 2018-19 Dominion Basketball include . . .

  • Rookie Dual, Triple, and Quad combination autographs combining players from the same team, college, position and more.
  • NBA Champions Dual Signatures showcasing the biggest and brightest stars from yesterday and today.
  • Main Exhibit Rookie Autographs features the strong 2018 NBA Draft Class with floating autographs on acetate over a shadowbox background.
  • Huge memorabilia swatches in Mammoth Materials, including Gold Prime (numbered to 10) and Platinum Prime 1/1 parallels.
  • Look for eye-catching designs in Main Exhibit, hard-to-find jersey swatches in Peerless Jersey Autographs, and the top names and future NBA stars in Regal Rookie Signatures.

We’ll have more on 2018-19 Dominion Basketball in the coming weeks here on The Knight’s Lance. But until then, enjoy this extended sneak peek:
