Fantasy STINKERS! - Just for a laugh...

We all know as fantasy owners we like to think we'll pick up a steal before the next guy - thought it'd be fun to list those 'steals' that end up stinking...
I'll start off with a doosie!!

About a week or so back I picked up QRich - he'd begun starting for the Heat and playing well, DWade raved about him...he had consecutive games of 18-10, 19-9 and 13-9 - hitting 10 3's in those games and a pile of offensive boards - I thought this is a no brainer - playing 35 minutes a game...awesome rebounder for a guard - just what I needed for my weak rebounding team....


He proceeded to not score a POINT! For the next 60 minutes!!! Then had a half decent 13-5 game before another stinker at 2-1! then 6 pts...FFS!
If u closely study this game log u should be able to see JUST where I picked him up!!

This week I also picked up Luc Richard Moute from the Bucks - he proceeded to sprain his foot and is out without any warning!! Didn't play a second for me!!!

Terrible luck with Q and Bol !

I have had a mixed bag this year. Picked up a few roughies

Douglas-roberts and Terrence williams fm new jersey. both started to play well. they shared 50+ pts, 20+ reb 6/7 assists and 7 steals the other day

I decided not to keep Ben Gordon and L. williams fm the sixers who are both having great season so far

And how about our Trade Al? Al Thornton for Marvin Williams, and we've both dropped each player and moved on

My main stinker this year has been Leandro Barbosa. Frickin' annoying given I drafted him what, 5th round? I believed all the rave about him fit and raring in the quick O in Phoenix, but he has a cist on his wrist apparently which is inoperable and limiting him...so bye bye!

And on the Luc Richard Mbah a Moute, I was always watching his teammate, Ersan Ilyasova ahead of him, and now he's got the start, I grabbed him. Before his start he had 4 quick darn good games, and the start = more minutes = it was time (specially since Rafer Alston is about to have his minutes slashed by Harris' return).

I'll just go off and rue what I could have drafted for Barbosa instead Otherwise, I'm happy, and reckon I can get back up there once Murphy and Kevin Martin return.

Oh and 1 last thing, imagine Dwight if he could hold his fouls!

I think that's just the issue, the team is playing so well as a team that he's not getting the individual chance to shine. He's playing decently I would think otherwise he wouldn't be getting court time, but no stats = fantasy suckage!

I got a 'steal' when I picked up Ty Lawson off the Free Agent list and continued to watch his stock rise & rise. I eventually traded him off when slightly injured for Randy Foye, who played 2 minutes yesterday for 0 points! Hopefully he will see some more time soon.

Also made a trade, I gave up Corey Brewer for Danilli Gallinari, who played 16 minutes yesterday for 0! Pretty disappointing haha

Keep Galinari - he can play and will only get better.....why anyone would pick up Foye I have no idea....his minutes are tiny

Gotta agree with you here too I drafted him in the 7th round in my league and I didn't want to(hate his limited cats) but he was best available on the board.....yuck!!! would prefer to have Kevin love injured this whole time then wait for him to come good...

But to top stinker is Brand, really struggling in the princeton offense for the first 10 games for a low draft pick, last game was better but I'll have to see how it pans out. I thought I'd at least get 10 boards even if the point and TO were not good. Got him in two league too
