Once again very happy to pull a Captain which I didn't already have and I even got a full common set out of this box
If there is one thing I have learned from these busts, it is never to buy loose packs of these cards. Seems all the reasonable hits were in the very first pack of the box, sitting front and centre...
I'll be chasing a few cards to complete parts of this set (some box cards, about 40 commons, 3 Parallel and 3 Captains) and all the Strike Rate cards I pulled will be on the table also if anyone is keen. I'll start an official thread in the next day or so and see how I go...
Thanks again to Liam for a marvellous organisational effort Hope someone else out there can snaffle a Showtime from this case!!
I am not amazed, they are 1 in 2520 packs which means they are 1 per 70 boxes which means 3 1/2 Cases We only busted 1 Case of 20 boxes so I didn't expect one to come out.
Great to see ANOTHER Captain Card from this Case (Well done mate), does that mean EVERY box got one so far?
1:70 boxes!! Wow, sorry Richo I didn't do the maths right on that one correctly.
Well surely it should be a $500+ card then??
No wonder noone has pulled one!!
I have to disagree there. Regardless of how tough it is to pull or how limited, there is no way it is worth $500+. They struggle to sell for $300 on ebay. If it was a signature card on the other hand then it would easily be $500+++ IMO :v:
The MW PB signature card was 1:2000packs and that sells for under $350
Upon closer inspection, it is not really that surprising... I think (of course I may be wrong) the only boxes not to have a Captain are those which had a Partnership card or a Sig Redemption card (which also sat right on top of the box??)
If you add ALL the Captains, Partership, Sigs and Showtime cards together it comes to ~6850 cards, and out of 7000 boxes, you would be mighty unlucky not to pull one of the above. (Has anyone pulled two of the above in a single box?)
Seems that rather than just sticking a Captain in 1:50 packs, they put them in the boxes with none of the other hits. As they say, the odds reflect the total run not any individual box... Hats off to Select for this one, very smart collation IMHO.
