Are TV show trading cards worth collecting?

mmmm Alyssa Milano... Happy days LOL

man NCIS cards great I am gonna have to sell my NBA collection just to be able to afford these tv shows... Abby Schuto coolest support character on TV!

Some of the Harry Potter cards i have seen go for stupid money

One of my holy grails guys:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/TRIPLE-Autograph-Harry-Potter-DANIEL-RADCLIFFE-EMMA-WATSON-RUPERT-GRINT-WOW-/271104321565?nma=true&si=qYYB2yWL6Fd3RyG7MXiw8SqjRu0=&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557

I was seriously going to start PCing Harry Potter last year, but opted to go for NBA RC's instead.

And that triple auto isn't even really rare compared to the full-blown geek one's from the SDCC.

Think of the class actors the series had...Robbie Coltrane, Gary Oldman, Robin Pattinson, Kenneth Branagh and even Rowling herself, that's historical man.

And it might follow the old XY GTHO theory, that once the nostalgia kicks in for those blokes who are cashed up later in life, then the price they are willing to pay shoots up.

But I'd luv a A9X Torana, if I ever do get ca$hed up lol:rolleyes:

NCIS is retailing at like 40 odd dollars a PACK on DACW.... 1 auto 2 costume cards, one insert and 3 commons per pack... INSANE prices.

Per pack? Thats pretty good per pack.

Harry Potter is usually 1 Auto and 1 Costume per BOX... Boxes usually go for 100-500 depending on series.

spose but at least with a box you get close to a base set... with this NCIS stuff... its very expensive to even get the base set lol

Breygent make a few TV show sets....Dexter and Ghost Whisperer among them.....http://www.breygent.com

Inkworks was the other company into TV shows....but they're out of business now. www.inkworks.com
Happy to be corrected here....but i seem to remember someone bought all their old stock and released them as mystery boxes with extra auto and GU hits......but I could be wrong!!!

Breygent make my Paranormal Activity cards ;)

The Inkworks thing makes sense as to why Supernatural cards stopped in '08

Cryptozoic have picked up a lot of the recent shows (Big Bang, Walking Dead, Castle...). Yes, Inkworks has gone. Breygent does a couple but do more classic stuff (eg movie posters). Rittenhouse does scifi mostly.

Base sets are usually about $10. However, those sets released as premium packs (NCIS, Warehouse 13 seasons 2 and 3) the base set takes about 10 premium packs and is more like $50.
