Id be happy to organise it and send the cards in but I dont think people would be willing to trust me with their high priced cards yet, would any of you guys who were interested be willing to organise?
Beckett has a 10-10-10 deal now, where if you send in 10 cards and get them graded using the 10 day service, it will only be $10 a card.
And because the Australian dollars really high now we should be able to get them graded for even cheaper, if we send in 10 cards it should be arounnd $16-18 USD a card plus postage from me to you.
It will also become cheaper per card the more we send in because the postage will be split into smaller bits, so it should be $13-$14 USD a card if we send in 20 of them.
Would anyone still be interested? Ive got around 6 I want to send in
Definitely interested but you'd have to look into how you get around sending cards with a high value as customs may stuff us over on their way back since i have a couple with very high values over the $1000 max. Im not sure how that all works
Well not sure how it would work with customs...... but you're not actually "buying" anything, so the $1000 thing shouldn't apply..... proving that to customs though is another story.

I will like to know if anyone has disputed with customs - as my package is stuck at customs now......
All I can think of is showing them the beckett grading form with the values I placed per card and the pictures of the cards in the card savers I - I am 'importing' for the services done to my cards...

Yeah - that is what was discussed with a Customs broker and I will provide the photos of the cards, the Australia post slip when I posted the cards to Beckett, my credit card transaction of being charged by Beckett etc. I will update when I get the package.

I emailed Customs after reaching a letter from them and explained that the cards posted was from my personal collection over a period of time, even though I declared them to be in excess of $1000 (they are PRE-OWNED) and I have EXPORTED them to BGS for grading (paid for) and I opted for $2000 for INSURANCE PURPOSES ONLY.
My supporting documentation to demonstrate proof of exporting:
1) Proof of exporting of my basketball cards to the United States – via receipt from Australia Post / Express Courier International delivery slip dated 18 Nov 2010 – keep this slip!!!
2) Tracking summary from both Australia Post and USPS – label receipt number – ED xxxxxxxxxx AU as per Australia Post receipt – use USPS website Track and Confirm and Australia Post Track and Confirm.
3) The Beckett grading order form with the list of cards to be graded and some of the pictures of my basketball cards to be graded with a total of US$224 payable to Beckett Grading Services for grading services + return postage and insurance.
4) My credit card statement showing that I have paid US$224 for the grading services + return postage and insurance dated 01 Dec 2010 and $112 at Australia Post dated 18 Nov 2010.
5) Beckett grading report (which Beckett will email you of what grades you got for your cards) and that they have posted the parcel on 13 Dec 2010.â€
So yeah - it worked for me! / p.s - I'm not responsible if your > $1k package does not pass through customs!
For me - lessons learnt - if you want it quick to the USA - use UPS / Fedex etc and don't send it during the silly season! Mine was posted in mid-Nov, opted for the 10 business days deal.
If posting using Australia Post, I believe any packages to US weighing 453g (~ 1pound) will cost you extra A$9 and takes another 48 hours to clear - new security measure because of the mail bomb scare a few months ago.
Kenny - you will need the card savers - see :NWCardSupplies, the postage back to Aust cost more that the product itself! I can spare 15 of these card savers, lmk.
