Interesting the original post was from 2017. I didn't know you could use Bitcoin in this way back then!
It was something we are investigating as part of the MERQARY.com trading card platform due to its low fees for our members. I wonder whether there would be much interest in the hobby today or would the volatility of cryptocurrency make it unattractive.
Be keen to hear others thoughts on this!

It's sort of like a double gamble!
You're buying the card at a price that may go up or down and then the currency you use could also do the same...
Might be just best to stick with payment gateway (PayPal, Stripe etc) fees.

I think the banks are bringing in their own regulated coin to shut that down - they seen how much money was in it - maybe if something like that happens it will be more stable but it defeats the whole purpose of having crypto imo - freedom! it was supposed to be a way to stick it to the man and then somehow he's got in, blocked transactions, taken taxes and etc etc - it sucks lol
