g) Selling or trading card(s) or boxes that you don't have in hand is not allowed. You must have the card(s)/boxes in hand before they can be included in a deal. This includes expressions of interest for purchasing cards/boxes/items, group buys, group breaks, presales of cases or any other variation of the wording unless approved under point (h)
 
Considering he mentioned he doesn’t have it in hand and was only taking offers I don’t think it’s the end of the world?

The rule is don't post cards for sale until you have them in hand as too many times we've had instances where a card is lost or damaged and it's a snowball of people that are affected and causes more problems than it's worth.

Plus the seller will have an opportunity to look at the card and note any issues with the card prior to the sale.
