Isiah Thomas definitely deserves a starting berth as does the Greek Freak in the east. For the West you have to go with Westbrook (dare I saw Big O-esque type numbers) and Harden, both having career years - Curry's carer year was last year, bu the fan boys will vote him in as a starter. Interesting about Durant too, I thought he was public enemy number 1!
...and as for the lack of true centres participating, well that's just a sad sign of the times. All about the run n gun these days for TV viewing! Bring back Yao!
I've tweeted at numerous guys on twitter trying to get some response but none yet as to what the NBA could do regarding the All Star game. It's probably going to be impossible to please everyone though!
If it's an exhibition game - use the fan vote (plus a combination of players/media I guess like they did this year) and it's a popularity contest. Ok, get Embiid in there, whatever!
If it's a reward for players who have been outstanding through the season thus far AND also an entry factor/point of conversation for the Hall of Fame then it has to be players/media/coaches/stats based.
You can't have both! Social media is too influential!
I knew Durant and James would lead voting so didn't bother with them.
I think Thomas should be starting and it's kind of insane that a guy averaging a triple-double isn't even a starter...
But when plenty of the votes came from the fans, and literally thousands of people retweet the 'lock in' tweet Curry does before EVERY SINGLE GAME.... It's pretty hard to compete.
You can't really say robbed when Harden and Curry got more votes though can you? Again I go back to is it a fan weekend (exhibition/fan voting) or HOF criteria? They have to chose otherwise being a 10 time All-Star doesn't have a clear meaning when you look back at careers.
Worst dunk comp of all time. NBA needs to do something. Players don't want to do it, fans don't want to watch it anymore, too many props. The whole weekend is going down the toilet. I already skip the celeb game and do other stuff while watching the skills and 3pt, it's bad.

Yep, terrible terrible stuff.
2 Things I took out of the day.
1. Paul Milsaps nose is impossible not to look at when the camera catches him in the background on the side lines.
2. Devin Booker. His get up, My Brother describes him as a high school Justin Bieber fan.
I would actually use a lot of other words I cannot type on here.
I missed the Dunk contest but did Air Gordon only get the drone dunk before getting knocked out of the first round? Can't see any other highlights of his dunks.
