It doesn’t hurt to be optimistic but you have been in this hobby longer than I Dave and the values are generally quite slow in growth for older releases.

Im, amazed very early cards dont fetch much, there are not many of them out there.
I suppose people think what chance have they of the getting the set, in any condition, so they dont bother.
Im talking about cards from the 20s and 30s.

Then you think you are going to get over the 1k mark. Your wasting your time.
The lockyer captains cards from 09 are very hard to get now under $1200 the last 2 I have seen sold on ebay have sold for $1500 and $1600. T
his card is worth around the $500 to $650 mark. Desperate people will sell for under $500
