    2016 AFL Season Discussion

Guernsey is looking great Daz! The news of Mitchell leaving must have been so unexpected. It was a massive surprise to hear he was coming west. Seeing as though he will be an Eagle for a year or two, I've got a Rioli guernsey if you ever want to swap that Mitchell back ;)

    2016 Series II/Honours 3 Rumours and Ideas

Great to see Select getting innovative again! No doubt they would have split the guernsey into front and back, before cutting for cards. As a match worn guernsey collector though, this makes me sad. I'd hate to see a Matt Priddis one literally cut into pieces.

Big bust coming...but I need your advice

With the price of the Select 2003 box being around the same as the Judd guernsey card, i'd just purchase the card! Then get approx 60 assorted packs, to fit your budget - including some from 2003.

    Favourite item in your collection?

Great item's guys, i love the player guernsey's! I recently got this one, and it's become an instant favourite. Ben missed this game due to being rested, however the boys still trained in them leading up to the game. 2006 Ben Cousins Player Issue and Training Worn Heritage Round Signed Guernsey

    Bulldogs, more like Bullsh*t

The young talent is great through the middle, it's their key positions needing help. Crameri is not a true full forward, they need some KPP's. A Boyd or Patton would fit well packaged with an early pick. But doesn't sound good, when your captain wants out!

    Signatures

I would say TTM's (through the mail) would be a go, for most those blokes. Freo in the past aren't great with TTM's, but i would back Kirk in. Roo's would be fine via Melb, Hall via his network. May take some time, but achievable. Good Luck!

AFL Select Honours 1 Box Giveaway

Favourite Team: West Coast Eagles Favourite player: Beau Waters - True team man, selfless and puts his body on the line. Make a comeback in 2015 Beau! Favourite moment: Besides the 2006 Grandfinal. The comeback kings game vs Geelong in 2006. 54 points down deep in the 3rd, great away win and...

    First knock on Prime -Sigs

I'd be pretty gutted if I pulled a Bootsma too.. (Sorry, couldn't resist) :p On topic. The players would sign these in their own time/houses/managers officers I would assume. It would be good to have a select official present, managing quality control. But that would cost more dollars, and we...

    Highest ever rookie card sold?

Personally, i think those prices mentioned are well overs and the cards wont sustain the value over time. Even the ever exclusive captain signatures first done by select have shown dips. Only time will tell i guess..

    Guernseys

Daz has got it spot on! Player issued is a term, meaning "Issued for the Player to Wear in an AFL match". So it has not been a match used jumper, but it was prepared and issued for X player to wear in X year. It is an onfield jumper, that has not been worn by the player and most likely been...

    Guernseys

Thanks mate! In the early days (i started collecting around 2009), they were available via the team store. My first was a Daniel Kerr Home that i got signed/personalised. As of recent, auction sites, ebay and the footy forums...

    Guernseys

Some great items in this thread! :) Im a massive fan of player guernseys/match worn memorabilia. Got around 25 West Coast Eagles Player Guernseys, some match worn, some signed and the rest are player issued. 10 or so from other clubs. My top 8 list: 1. Ben Cousins 2003 WCE home match worn...

    IP Autographs

Majority of his are full signatures from private signings, but do agree some prices are high. But quality signatures! $50 Best offer for a full Judd signature is not too bad, considering juddy gives a terrible scribble in person.

West Coast Eagles crowd. The worst in the AFL.

Pretty sure the WCE fans were not booing LRT in anyway. The boo's were most likely directed towards the Umpire whom did not stop play initially, then West Coast had a clear run opening up through the middle of the ground from the HB line, play was stopped when the ball got closer to the LRT...

    2012 Select Eternity Series 2.

Manufactured Patch serves no purpose? Select do this because it is cheap. A Match worn of 3-5 players would not be hard, surely. I can source that privately right now. (Would be a crime to cut one up however haha) Even if jumpers are too hard, a pair of shorts, training singlet/boots...

Best way to display rare cards

It is a shame to hide away some nice cards. Back in the day i used to display a few of my high end Cousins signatures. This pic is an example of the setup - Magnetic One Touch with Stands (Think they were Poker Chip stands from US) - Have seen larger versions also.

2012 Football Draft Prospects -PREMIUM AFL JANUARY RELEASE

Who's to say kingjacks opinion is not valid in this hobby? He collect's cards, has an impressive collection and dedication to the hobby .. so why wouldn't Dave value his opinion or that of any younger collector? He has the freedom to collect what he wants, as do all of us. So you can't say to...

    player signatures

Just give it a go! You don't know, if you don't try. Address to to the player and send to the teams PO Box address. I have done a few in the past. Jono Brown, Simon Black, Adam Cooney to name a few. Just give a go and only send common cards with a self address stamped envelope for return. You...

    Cousins, Judd Brownlow Signature Cards

I doubt you will get $700 on the Judd, unless it is a bloody great number! That card has held its value really well, if not increased over the years - $500 or so is a decent price to expect. With the Cousins, those Supremes fluctuate heaps in price. $320 - $400 is around a decent figure...
