2021 Elite Official Thread

Aww man, I thought we were almost on track to start thinking logically again there and you went and swerved straight back into a ditch with the tin foil stuff

That's it for me tonight. I tap. You're so good at this stuff. Next time my wife calls me stubborn, I can confidently say, "You ain't seen nothing!!"
I’m wearing a tin foiled hat because yeah there’s definitely not anyone that has a personal financial investment in the secondary market with business partners or relatives 😳 All totally above board 👍

You either just changed the topic completely OR that's what you've been alluding to the whole time.....in which case, I wish I picked up on that at the start. Because I've been trying to explain why trading card companies have to allocate the way they do. Any conflict you're hinting at has nothing to do with what I've wasted my time trying to get through

It has plenty to do with how and why they allocate the way they do so it’s all connected. Time not wasted after all 😉

You are spot on and given COVID hasn't really gone away, just ebbed and flowed, I think there will be mostly redemption's again. TBH, I prefer that anything more than a box level signature is via numbered redemption. I get that it diminishes the excitement but this will help QC and ensure that prior to redeeming, TLA have the ability to examine the quality of the card / signature. This stops those who purchase a damaged card cheap and request a replacement.

Obviously redemption cards can also be damaged but I Would imagine that these are far easier to replace than an actual signature card.

Yeah true, annoying as it is having to send the cards off, it does mean better QC, and one less thing that could delay the release (in theory)

I agree with the redemption idea , however they knowingly sent me out a damaged Wade Graham LSB then admitted they had been dropped . That was annoying as I had to send back again . Poor form to do that IMO.

Just cause you Mexicans don’t collect new stuff , don’t start throwing stones David or Santa might stop sending you #36 cards 🤣
Joel, I valued my sleep from day dot, never waited for Santa, If I wanted some footy cards back then , I saved and saved every 5c, 10c, 20 I could get, every bottle i could scavenge, paper I could deliver, chore I could do.
i bought so many of them back in the day on the way to school.
But I never once hounded a shop owner, when are they coming,
They just knew , David wanted them.
Good things come to those who wait.
