ShipMyCards - USA Address and Shipping Service

From memory you select your items like you’re setting up a regular shipment. Under the options like FedEx, USPS there is an option to just get a quote.

Have many people won/purchased boxes from the US and shipped back with SMC? From your experience, what has the cost difference been compared to buying from here?

I'm thinking of buying some Hoops Premium Megas off eBay - looks like I could get one in the $100-115 US range ($130-150 AUD)... Seeing as the cheapest I've seen for sale in Australia is from a box seller for $190 AUD would I be better off going the US-SMC option?

I guess it depends if the shipping/handling costs would be cheaper than the $40-60 price difference... bearing in mind I've got about 6 slabs currently sitting in my SMC account and a few other singles.

With boxes in the 100-200 range, the difference is negligible. Id pay a couple of bucks extra for the convenience of local post, which I did with some UFC blasters recently.
With boxes $500+ its pretty clearly in the favour of buy in the US, SMC back to AUS

i just signed up to SMC (late to the game cos im old!) if i get 10 cards from 10 different sellers shipped there, i can get all of them shipped to me at once? with a fee per card?

fees were updated recently so check the new fees, it might be like $2 per card processing fee and then yeo you just ship all 10 to you at once. I’ve only got a box sent there with cards in it so it gets processed as a lot fee for like $5

Wondering if anyone here knows the answer or if @ShipMyCards could help out.

I have a couple of lots heading to my box but I do not want every card in the lot so was planning on selling off the cards I do not want cheap to refund some costs. However, after reading the FAQ it sounds to me like for say a 16 card lot I will be charged the initial $5 then the lot gets broken down in to 16 individual lots for sale and I then get charged $2 per lot. Is this correct?

(I was only looking to sell the cards for $1 to $2 each so if it is correct it would be a pointless exercise and I will not bother.)

I'm actually wondering about this myself. I'm thinking of sending a load of cards to my SMC account to be broken down into singles, so I can sell them to people in the US for far cheaper shipping than sending from here.

For me, an extra $2 per card is a hit I can deal with in this instance, since SMC's US shipping is pretty well priced. But if I don't also have to pay $2 per card to break down a lot of like 100 cards, that would be great

Negative Store Credits
We will be moving into not allowing accounts to go into and stay in the negative balance. We ask that collectors load store credit prior to having their items arrive. Thank you in advance for cooperation during this change and thank you to collectors that always stay positive in their accounts!

Wonder what percentage of users are sitting deep in negative? I bet it's a huge amount.
