22 Under 22 Team

Squad has been announced



WESTERN Bulldogs star Marcus Bontempelli is poised to create history after he was again named in the annual 40-man squad that recognises the best young AFL talent.
Bontempelli on Tuesday night was among 40 young guns selected in the AFL Players’ Association 22under22 squad for 2018.

And should Bontempelli, who turns 23 in November, make the final cut, it would be the fifth consecutive year that he would’ve been named in the 22under22 team.



Fans can vote on the 22under22 side by clicking here., with voting closing on Tuesday August 28.

I could be bias but think Ryan Burton and Blake Hardwick are very stiff to not make this squad. And if I’m being honest, thought Hardwick would have been going well enough to make the 22.

Don't know who picked the squad but they shouldn't be allowed to do it again. Aaron Naughton and Paul Ahern are glaring omissions.

And what about Cam Rayner and Florent from the swans. Sheesh.

Paul ahern????? He has played anout 6 or 7 games lol

Its not best first year players or non injured players!!

Ahern or naughton definately havnt got runs on the board to be selected and rayner would only get in on potential which the 22 under 22 doesnt go on

I rate florent and he would have been close. Alot of good names above him and wouldnt make the team but probably unlucky not ro make squad. Hard to find someone to take out though allthough a few stand out

Fair enough although looking at the names it would be a tough team to make and being honest would probably beat Carlton!
